A 1980’s era 19-story office building in downtown Austin, we are redesigned the low-slung, cluttered lobby so that it feels spacious– creating a dramatic departure from the busy streetscape. We are also reducing the visual clutter from an early 2000-era renovation that made the lobby feel even more closed in to visitors and tenants. Our design opens up the space dramatically, relocates a mailroom, and transforms a former bank-teller area into useful lounge seating. Existing black marble walls with stainless-steel trim are accented with wood panels. The building directory is relocated from the back of the elevator lobby to an easily-accessible spot in the main lobby.
