A neglected 1980’s two-story, concrete tilt-up office building in Northeast Austin was in need of a lobby renovation and a sense of entry. Having no other form of reaching the second level other than a single elevator, our design seamlessly incorporates the building’s new entrance canopy with a monumental staircase. The canopy provides cover and the monolith is integrated into a concrete platform which extends into the lobby’s interior becoming the base for the custom metal staircase and transitions into an inviting place to sit.
