Integra Life Sciences is a world leader in medical-device technology. The Austin operation is an R+D facility that creates innovative orthopedic implants, and also serves as a training center for surgeons. Integra hosts a steady stream of visiting surgeons. The quality of their experience on site was integral to the design process. We designed an array of spaces from training rooms, surgical training center and design labs, to support-team work spaces, collaboration niches and multiple break rooms -- all designed to create opportunities for staff and visitors to interact and be accessible to one another.
